Fixed Income investing offers a pre-determined return and the expectation of receiving back invested principal at maturity. Initial and ongoing due diligence is employed to monitor issue credit quality and the broader sector trends that could influence credit ratings. Municipal bonds have much lower historic default rates than corporate bonds. Low Volatility The Fixed Income component of the portfolio can act as a cushion against the less predictable equity markets. Our fixed income professionals buy bonds from a variety of broker-dealers in the open market and the price paid for the bond in the open market is the price that you receive in your portfolio. |
