Marquette Asset Management and Meridian Bank
host Exhibition at Phoenix Art Museum PHOENIX - (Feb. 21, 2008) - On February 21st, Marquette Asset Management and Meridian Bank of Arizona, a Marquette Financial Company, hosted an exhibition of the St. John’s Bible at The Phoenix Art Museum. In a joint effort with St. John’s University over 200 people attended a reception and tour of the exhibition. The Saint John’s Bible is a remarkable ecumenical work of art that has received widespread acclaim. Newsweek magazine has referred to it as “America’s Book of Kells” and Smithsonian Magazine has called it “the most remarkable artistic undertaking of our time.” The project was the life’s dream of Mr. Donald Jackson, the scribe to Queen Elizabeth’s Crown Office, who is considered the foremost calligrapher in the Western world. Having approached St. John’s University with the project 12 years ago, the bible is nearly completed and is touring the United States in major museums. Attending were clients, friends, associates and employees of Marquette Asset Management, Meridian Bank and St. John’s University. Speakers included John Pohlad, CEO of Marquette Asset Management, Doug Hile, President of Meridian Bank and father Eric Hollas of St. John’s University, the individual primarily responsible for the project.
